What are Agency Exclusive Offers from Magical Vacations Travel?

FAQs about Magical Vacations Travel Agency Exclusive Offers

Magical Vacations Travel occasionally arranges special rates and discounts that cannot be found anywhere else.

An Agency Exclusive Offer at Universal Orlando Resort is typically a deep discount on the nightly room rate at select hotels.

Agency-exclusive offers are only valid during the advertised travel window. You can select any number of nights within that window.

Are Agency Exclusives vacation packages?

No. These offers are discounts on hotel rooms only but tickets and other add-ons can be included in your quote. So, it’s just like having a package but we just can’t call it a “package” because some of the terms and conditions are different.

Can I include theme park tickets with an Agency Exclusive?

Yes. Tickets will be a separate purchase. I can include both the hotel and tickets in your quote with one total price, to make it easy. Theme park tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to cancel your vacation, you will be offered a future credit on tickets.

Can I cancel an Agency Exclusive Offer if I need to?

Yes. The cancellation policy is much more lenient than a traditional package. In most cases, you can cancel your hotel reservation up to 5 days prior to check-in for a full refund.

Do you have Agency Exclusives for cruises?

Agency Exclusive Offers on cruises, also known as Magical Voyages, are specially priced cruise fares that Magical Vacations Travel has arranged with the cruise line.

Universal Halloween Horror Nights Unveils Even More Haunted Houses

The countdown has begun for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort with all-new terrifying haunted houses

The countdown has begun for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort with all-new terrifying haunted houses

The terror kicks off at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, Sept. Sept. 1. Below is a sneak peek at what guests can expect:

The Exorcist: Believer

“The Exorcist: Believer” haunted house will unleash an entirely new level of terror on Halloween Horror Nights.

In this new chapter, guests will be transported to a bustling street market in Haiti, where an innocent purchase of a strange folk doll with three eyes leads to the opening of a demonic portal, the awakening of sinister spirits, and the subsequent disappearance of two 12-year-old girls in the U.S. After the girls begin to exhibit unsettling behavior, it soon becomes clear that only an exorcism can save them—and everyone who comes in contact with them, including unwitting guests, is suddenly at risk of losing their souls.

Did you know there’s a Halloween Horror Nights package? See more here ▸

Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count

Inspired by the hit USA & SYFY series and cult classic films, “Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count” casts this killer doll as the star of his very own haunted house for the first time.

A true sadistic killer, Chucky has been mired in the agony of disrespect he feels from his peers at not being taken seriously.

Thus begins his quest to turn his haunted house into a living slaughterhouse by killing every person who enters.

Universal Monsters: Unmasked

Lurking 60 feet beneath the bustling streets of the City of Lights, the dank Catacombs of Paris house a much darker secret.

The all-new haunted house “Universal Monsters: Unmasked” takes guests down into the infamous burial grounds where every corner and crevice overflows with millions of skeletal remains and even more sinister secrets.

Deep within the Catacombs, Universal’s most notorious creatures—The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dr. Jekyll and his deranged alternate personality Mr. Hyde, and Dr. Jack Griffin, aka The Invisible Man—also lie in wait as they bide their time and seek vengeance against guests after the opening of the Catacombs to public visitation.

Guests can enjoy the all-new disturbingly entertaining show, “Nightmare Fuel Revenge Dream,” which features a new dreamer confronting the creature that’s been turning her dreams into nightmares.

Tribute to Terror Store at Universal Orlando

While shopping the latest Halloween Horror Nights merchandise and treats in an all-new Tribute Store, guests can enter a mysterious NYC Comic Book Shop and experience the “Tribute to Terror” by stepping into the pages of this original, terrifying, horror comic book.

Guests can enjoy a drink at the Red Coconut Club as it will once again transform to the Dead Coconut Club donning a new theme and menu.

When guests want to take a bite out of the horror, they can enjoy a monstrous menu of all-new food & beverage items, including Bloody Campground Poutine, El Pastor Torta, and Sour Apple Pie Funnel Fries, in addition to returning fan favorites like Pizza Fries.

New this year, Peacock’s Halloween Horror Bar will feature themed libations within an ominous nightclub vibe, photo opportunities and more.

For those dying to experience this year’s “killer” food and beverage before the event even opens, Taste of Terror will offer guests an exclusive preview of select items that will be featured at Halloween Horror Nights select nights from Aug. 10 through Aug. 26.

Universal Orlando hotel guests can stay near the fear and receive exclusive benefits, including Early Park Admission to the theme parks during the day and access to priority event entrance to Halloween Horror Nights at night as well as complimentary transportation to the theme parks and Universal CityWalk.

Vacation packages are available that include one-night admission to the event, Universal hotel accommodations, and admission to all three of Universal Orlando’s thrilling theme parks.

And for the first time ever, the fog has spread to all eight of Universal Orlando’s hotels with exclusive activations and experiences for hotel guests inspired by this year’s event, including Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort’s exclusive “Chucky’s Twisted Playground” photo illusion experience based on the USA and SYFY series, plus, the Universal Monsters Gallery of Legends lobby photo opportunities in all other hotel lobbies and more.

Guests also can purchase single-night tickets or the popular Frequent Fear and Rush of Fear Passes, plus event upgrades like Express Pass, R.I.P. Tour, and the daytime Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour.

First Look: Universal Orlando's Newest Attraction Villain-Con Minion Blast

Universal Orlando Resort said Minion Land on Illumination Avenue will officially open to guests and clients on Aug. 11, 2023

I had a chance to experience Universal Orlando’s newest attraction, Villian-Con Minion Blast which is set to open at Universal Studios Florida. It was, well, a blast!

In Villain-Con Minion Blast you’ll blast their way to supervillain stardom. This first-of-its-kind attraction puts guests’ villainous skills to the test to see if they have what it takes to become a member of the Vicious 6—a notorious group of supervillains from the hit film “Minions: The Rise of Gru.”

It’s not only hilarious but really fun! It’s one of the most creative and immersive attractions that has come to any Orlando theme park in a long time. As soon as I got off, I wanted to go again.

This attraction is still in “technical rehearsal” or what Disney might call “soft opening” so I cannot show you everything just yet. But here are a few highlights to give you an idea of what to expect when it officially opens on August 11, 2023.

MinionLand Villian-Con at Universal Orlando

If you recall from the film Minions: Rise of Gru, the characters travel to Orlando, Florida for Villian-Con, an annual convention for villains. As funny as that is, and of course this being the real Orlando, Universal Creative actually made the queue for this attraction, the convention center.

MinionLand Villian-Con at Universal Orlando

There are posters for exhibitors as you enter the convention center. They are really setting the scene that you’re attending Villian-Con in Orlando.

Despicable-Me-Minion-Mayhem
Despicable-Me-Minion-Mayhem

Just before entering the attraction, you’ll be issued a blaster. IT has a regular trigger and then a front trigger that’s used to deliver an even strong blast.

Despicable-Me-Minion-Mayhem Universal Orlando

You begin by standing on a slow-moving conveyor belt that winds its way through different rooms.

In a way, YOU are the ride vehicle here. Your goal is to aim your blaster at as many moving targets as you can to rack up points. There are lots of Minion shenanigans, of course.

This new ride technology is a game-change for Universal, which can sometimes rely too much on motion simulators. This is not a motion simulator thankfully and it’s one of the best new attractions I’ve experienced here in Orlando.

Despicable-Me-Minion-Mayhem Universal Orlando

And in true Oralndo-style, all good attractions empty out into a themed gift shop. But that’s not all. MinionLand is a whole new section of Universal Studios Florida.

Bake My Day Minion Bakery

Bake My Day has Minion-themed desserts, candy, and pastries.

Minion Cafe

You can fuel up for the mayhem with a unique dining experience, Minion Café, a new eatery run by the Minions featuring inventive fare for every guest. Pop-A-Nana, a kiosk featuring banana-flavored popcorn; Freeze Ray Pops, a walk-up window serving refreshingly colorful frozen treats;

Minions Cafe is themed to the Minion’s break room. Lots of funny gags everywhere you look.

There are motivational posters on the wall. They were among my favorite details.

Universal Orlando Resort Creates New Park Logos

Universal Parks & Resorts is becoming Universal Destinations & Experiences to reflect new entertainment venues opening around the world - including a new theme park in Orlando.

Universal Parks & Resorts is becoming Universal Destinations & Experiences. This rebrand better reflects the offerings Universal brings to fans and how it will continue to expand in the future.

The name change also signals how the company is diversifying by bringing Universal branded entertainment and consumer product experiences to life in unique and creative ways for new audiences, in new places, and on new platforms in both the physical and virtual worlds.

Recently, the company announced several, new original concepts:

  • A theme park designed for families with young children in Texas.

  • A year-round horror-inspired entertainment experience in Las Vegas.

  • SUPER NINTENDO WORLD at Universal Studios Hollywood, CA.

  • Epic Universe, Universal’s third Orlando theme park, is currently being built.

A complete look at the new logo designs:

Current logos used around Universal Orlando Resort

My favorite logo of all time was the original, used from 1989 to 1998.

In 1998 Universal Studios went to this logo which was used from 1998 through 2017.

How to Use Uber / Lyft at Disney World and Universal Orlando

Frequently asked questions about using rideshares like Uber and Lyft to travel around Orlando, Florida.

Need to get to a Disney World restaurant or travel between Disney Resort hotels? Going to Orlando International Airport? How about a ride between Disney World and Universal Orlando? Uber and Lyft are widely available in Orlando and offer fast, reliable transportation.

Here are some of the most popular questions I get about using a Uber and Lyft in Orlando.

How much does it cost to go from Disney World to Universal Resort?

Fares will vary but usually around $20 - $30 each way.

Which is cheaper in Orlando? Lyft or Uber?

Lyft tends to have better rates than Uber. For example, Universal to Orlando International Airport is about $32 with Uber. Lyft is about $24.

Check both Uber and Lyft to compare rates before each ride.

Did you know that Disney World is 50 square miles? That’s twice the size of New York City!

How much does it cost to travel within Walt Disney World?

Average fares are about $8 - $16.

How long will I have to wait for Uber / Lyft to arrive?

Less than 10 minutes, in most cases cars come immediately.

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Can you use Uber or Lyft from Orlando International Airport?

Yes, Uber and Lyft are available at Orlando Airport (MCO). Look for the “Ride App” signs on Level 2 to you guide to the pick up area.

Uber and Lyft will take you directly to your hotel where as some shuttle services stop at multiple hotels along the way.

Uber and Lyft are readily available at Disney World and Universal hotels when it’s time to go back to the airport (booo!)

Where does Uber and Lyft pick up at Universal Orlando?

Use the dedicated Uber Zone located in the Jurassic Park Garage. Uber is the official rideshare provider of Universal (Disney went with Lyft) so you’ll only see signs for Uber. But both companies pick up and drop off from this location.

If you’re visiting Volcano Bay water park, you can take a complimentary shuttle from the Uber Zone.

Signs for Uber and Lyft can be found throughout the exit of Universal Orlando directing you where to go.

Universal Orlando Resort

Can Uber and Lyft bypass the parking booths at the Orlando theme parks?

At Disney, yes, drivers will identify themselves to the parking attendant who will direct them to the drop-off area.

At Universal, drivers must use the Uber Zone drop-off center located in the Jurassic Park Garage.

Can Uber / Lyft use Disney’s Contemporary Resort for Magic Kingdom drop-off and pick-up?

Sometimes yes, but security guard may redirect your driver to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). This is likely to happen during busy times such as holidays and RunDisney weekends.

The official policy is that drivers must use the TTC as this is the official ride-share zone for Magic Kingdom Park.

If you have a dining reservation at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, your driver will be permitted to enter the lot.

How will the driver find me?

Drivers will see your GPS location but it’s helpful to send a message with your location and a description. Communication between you and your driver is important and they appreciate short descriptions!

For example, “I’m near the bell desk at Disney’s Polynesian VIllage Resort, wearing a gray Mickey Mouse shirt and blue shorts.”

How far in advance should I request my ride?

Drivers arrive pretty quick at Walt Disney World and Universal, so request your ride when you are standing in the pick up zone.

If you are requesting a ride from Magic Kingdom Park, first take the monorail or ferry to the Ticket at Transportation Center (TTC), then request your ride. You can only be picked up at the TTC, not at the Magic Kingdom.

Another option is to walk to Disney’s Contemporary Resort and request your ride once you are there.

At the TTC, drivers are probably already queued in the waiting zone and will pull up quickly.

Are car seats available through Uber and Lyft?

Yes, with Uber you can use Uber Car Seat for an additional fee, about $10. This may increase your wait time. Lyft is still working to introduce car seats as an option in Orlando.

Have a question about using Uber or Lyft that wasn’t answered here? Use the comments section below.

How to Rent a Scooter at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando

Tips for renting scooters, EVCs, wheelchairs and strollers at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando.

Renting a scooter, wheelchair or stroller from a third-party vendor will not only save you money at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando, but you’ll be able to keep it throughout your entire stay.

Renting directly from the theme parks will cost more and you’re restricted to theme park use only.

Walt Disney World Scooter (ECV)
Scooter and ecv rental disney world

RENTING DIRECT FROM DISNEY

Scooters, also known as Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs), wheelchairs, and stroller rentals are available at each of the Walt Disney World theme parks.

Disney World does not offer scooter or wheelchair reservations and they often sell out. Rentals are first come, first served.

Disney World Resort hotels do not rent scooters but wheelchairs are available. Wheelchairs can be rented for the length of your stay.

If you intend to park hop, note that ECVs may not be removed from the park where they were rented from.

When leaving one theme park to visit another on the same day (Park Hopping) you’ll need to present your rental receipt from the first rental along with your deposit to secure another ECV, if available.

Scooters, wheelchairs, and strollers will cost more at Disney so I recommend using a third-party provider like ScooterBug or Buena Vista Rentals.

How to get a Disability Access Service Pass at Walt Disney World

If you are unable to wait in the traditional queue for an attraction for a medical reason, you may qualify for a Disability Access Service Card (DAS Pass).

This is not a front-of-the-line pass but rather a system that holds your place in line while you wait somewhere that’s more comfortable for you.

You obtain a Disney DAS Card online, in advance of your visit.

Through a live chat with a Cast Member, you’ll be asked a few general questions about your condition and the accommodation that you need. You will not need to show a doctor’s note.

If you qualify, the DAS pass will be unlocked in your My Disney Experience mobile app where you can virtually enter ride queues without having to physically be in line. The entire process is managed through the app. If you set up MagicMobile, all you need to do is tap your phone.

Disney World DAS Pass using MagicMobile

Disney MagicMobile

You will be permitted to bring a small number of guests with you so you can all enjoy the attraction together.

Renting Scooters Direct from Universal Orlando

Scooters (ECVs), wheelchairs and strollers are available to rent inside each of the Universal Orlando theme parks.

You can reserve a scooter or wheelchair at least 1 week in advance as they do sell out. Call Guest Services 407-224-4233 to make a reservation.

Wheelchairs are available inside the parking hub that can be used to take you to the park entrance.

Scooters and wheelchairs are not available at Volcano Bay water park.

If you need a scooter at your hotel, consider renting a scooter from a third-party provider as you will not be permitted to take the scooter outside of the theme parks.

How to obtain an Attraction Assistance Pass at Universal Orlando

You can obtain an Attraction Assistance Pass from Guest Relations, located in CityWalk next to Starbucks Coffee.

This is not a front-of-the-line pass but rather a system that holds your place in line while you wait somewhere that’s more comfortable for you.

Go to one of the TeamMembers posted outside the attraction and show your Attraction Assistance Pass.

He or she will write down your return time on the back of the pass. You are then free to go somewhere else and wait.

When your time comes around, head back to the attraction and you’ll be escorted into a special line with minimal wait. Note that on popular rides, the wait can still be 45 minutes or more.

You can bring a small number of guests with you so you can all ride together.

Renting a scooter from a third-party provider

If you need a scooter, wheelchair, or stroller for your vacation, not just at the theme parks, you’ll need to rent from a third-party company such as Buena Vista or ScooterBug.

You’ll be able to take your device between the theme parks and take it to your hotel. Buses, monorails, and most watercraft can accommodate scooters.

ScooterBug and Buena Vista Rentals will send a service technician into the parks for service should you experience a malfunction or if you need a replacement.

Scooter Bug (scooterbug.com) is the exclusive provider of electric convenience (ECV) scooters, strollers and wheelchairs for Walt Disney World. This means you do not need to be present upon delivery and drop off of your device.

  • Will deliver and pickup without you being present.

  • Competitive rates.

  • Cancel up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund.

ScooterBug also services Universal Orlando Resort.

Buena Vista Rentals (buenavistascooters.com) offers free delivery and pick up at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando hotels.

  • Scooters are delivered to Disney World hotels on a schedule, drivers make 3 stops per day, you can select the time that best fits your needs. You must be present for pick up and drop off at Disney.

  • If you take the evening delivery, you’ll get one free rental day.

  • You do not need to be present at Universal Orlando hotels for pick up and drop off.

  • Readers of this website will receive a 10% discount when you book online.

If you need help, just ask a Team Member at the ticket desk, located inside the hotel lobby.

Placing Mobile Food and Drink Orders

Order ahead from select restaurants when you’re in the theme parks and at CityWalk.

How to place your mobile order

  1. Open the side navigation and select "Mobile Food & Drink Ordering"

  2. Select an available restaurant

  3. Browse menu options and make customizations

  4. Tap “Prepare My Order”

  5. Wait at the pickup window to receive your order

Join Virtual Lines at Universal Orlando

During busier times of the year, some of Universal Orlando’s most popular attractions allow you to join a Virtual Line. Rather than stand in a physical line, you can reserve a time to ride and go off to enjoy other areas of the park. This feature is free.

Here’s how Virtual Lines work:

  1. Pick your ride in the app

  2. Join the queue for a time window that works for you

  3. Show the Team Member your phone to scan and enter the attraction

The app will display the attractions that are offering a Virtual Line, if any. You can almost always find Race Through New York starring Jimmy Fallon as an option.

Depending on how crowded the park is, Universal may also offer Virtual Line on the following:

  • Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

  • Fast & Furious: Supercharged

  • Revenge of the Mummy

Universal Orlando adjusts Virtual Line throughout the day. The day may start off without any Virtual Lines being offered but as the park gets busier, some Virtual Lines may begin to come online. Universal may also remove the option during the day if it’s no longer needed - but they will still honor existing reservations.

Insider Tip! I recommend you check for Virtual Lines starting 20 minutes prior to the park opening time.

Insider Tip! Use the “Wait Time Alert” feature on the app to get notified if the wait for a favorite attraction is under a certain time. For example, you can set up an alert to be notified if the wait for Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure drops below 60 minutes.

FIVE SCARE ZONES

There’s nowhere to hide in the streets of Universal Studios Florida as hordes of menacing creatures from Halloween’s past infiltrate five all-new scare zones, where your clients will:

TWO LIVE SHOWS

When you need a break from the scares, you can enjoy two brand-new, outrageously entertaining shows:

  • Ghoulish! A Halloween Tale, an all-new show taking place in the Universal Studios lagoon that follows the Grim Reaper on the undertaking of what happens beyond the grave – all set to eerily-remixed music by some of today’s most iconic artists.
