Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Vacation Package and Disney World Tickets
Many consider Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort the best hotel at Disney World. Here’s why.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is all about location, location, location. ! This Disney World Deluxe Resort is on the monorail to Magic Kingdom, and you can walk to the Epcot monorail line, which is a very nice perk. The Polynesian is four hotels in one: the original mid-century modern hotel and two Disney Vacation Club sections called Island Tower, the Villas at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and the Bungalows. It’s also a AAA 4-Diamond Award winner.
Dining, shopping, hotel check-in, and the monorail are all located in the Great Ceremonial House, the main building within the resort.
Its nearly 500 guest rooms are located inside several, 3-story outer buildings called longhouses. The furthest is an 8-minute walk from The Great Ceremonial House.
Exterior pathways lead to the different buildings. Hotel rooms are accessed through interior hallways.

Guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2024
What you need to know about the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
Every year people ask me if they should attend Mickey’s Very Christmas Party. My answer is always a big, “YES!” Now I know ticket prices are more than what most people expect, and I assume this is why people want to know if it’s worth it, but like most things at Disney World, you get what you pay for.
I have yet to hear from anyone who didn’t have a great time.
Plus, there’s something extra magical that happens here if you’re a fan of rides. I’ll explain more further down. It’s the NUMBER 1 reason I go to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Christmas season than at Walt Disney World! And this party is the highlight of the season.
I am so excited to hear that those delicious complimentary cookies and hot cocoa will be offered throughout Magic Kingdom once again in 2024. This is maybe the very reason I go!
Here’s a tip: The free cookies are big, so there’s no need to consume them all in one night. It’s perfectly ok to bring a backpack or bag so you can save them for later.
Of course, Main Street, U.S.A. will be decorated beautifully but so are some of the attractions.
And speaking of attractions, it’s time to reveal why I go to MVMCP each year!
Space Mountain. Yep. That’s it.
During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and only during the party, you can ride Space Mountain with red and green lights on.
How many times have you been on Space Mountain and wished that maybe the work lights would come on so you can see what it really looks like?
Starting 1 hour after the party officially begins, Space Moutain will get a holiday makeover complete with Christmas music rock and roll style and flashing red and green lights.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2024 Dates
November 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
December 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a limited-capacity five-hour holiday event, kicking off November 8 and running on select nights through December 20 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Buying Tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2024
Guests of select Disney Resorts hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels and Shades of Green can purchase tickets starting on July 2.
For all other guests, tickets will go on sale July 10.
Mark your calendars to experience the wonder and delight of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. There’s no better way to get into a magical holiday spirit!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has some of Disney World’s biggest thrill rides like Tower of Terror, Rise of the Resistance, and Rock N Roller Coaster. Of the 8 rides at this park, there are 2 most people would enjoy.
Immerse yourself in a zany Mickey Mouse cartoon at Disney's Hollywood Studios! Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway whisks you on a five-minute adventure through a lively carnival, a wacky farm, a swirling tornado, and even an underwater escapade. Goofy, the engineer, takes you on a train ride after interrupting Mickey and Minnie's picnic. Prepare for special effects, and dazzling visuals, as you experience the world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon firsthand. This exciting ride is perfect for families of all ages and there is no minimum height requirement.
Toy Story Midway Mania is a smooth ride, perfect for guests who want to blast their way through some interactive Toy Story games. The ride vehicles glide along a track but there is some fast movement as the ride vehicle travels between rooms. Overall it’s a gentle ride focused on friendly competition and sharpshooting fun. So rest assured, you can join the toys without any worries about a rough ride.
Animal Kingdom
Kilimanjaro Safaris is a safari adventure across the Disney-re-created African savanna. You’ll board an open-air truck tour that lets you observe a variety of animals roaming freely in their natural habitat, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. While there are no sharp drops or spins, there can be some bumps along the dirt trail and the truck sometimes accelerates quickly to add a little excitement to the ride. But overall this attraction is about viewing the animals on the savanna, not big thrills from the ride vehicle.
Na'vi River Journey is a gentle boat-ride attraction through a bioluminescent rainforest on a mystical riverboat. You glide around on woven reed boat, surrounded by glowing plants that pulse with light. Your journey will also offer a glimpse into the Na'vi culture, as you might spot a scout or an entire tribe. The grand finale awaits in a bioluminescent grotto, where the awe-inspiring Shaman of Songs animatronic showcases the Na'vi's connection to their world and the all-encompassing life force, Eywa. This slow-moving boat ride is perfect for all ages, offering a captivating escape into the beauty of Pandora.
The Wildlife Express Train is a leisurely train ride that takes you out to Affection Section, a remote land in Animal Kingdom where you can see how the animals are cared for and pet some happy goats. The steam train chugs along at a gentle pace, offering scenic views of the park's landscapes and glimpses of the backstage facilities. Perfect for all ages, especially young children or those seeking a calmer experience, there are no drops, bumps, or sharp turns to worry about. Just sit back, relax, and forget to say hi to the goats when you reach the Affection Section!
Epcot
Epcot has a lot of rides for people who hate rides. Not as many as Magic Kingdom but I’ll get to that one in a moment. That’s the big one so I need a lot of time there. Spaceship Earth at Epcot offers a gentle journey through time. Forget about drops and intense speeds – here, the focus is on learning and exploration. The ride vehicles take you on a slow-moving tour highlighting the history of communication, from cave paintings to the rise of modern technology. Expect some darkness and movement from the animatronic figures, but nothing scary or thrilling. So, if you're looking for a relaxing experience with a touch of education, Spaceship Earth is the perfect ride for you.
The Seas with Nemo & Friends at Epcot is a dark ride that takes guests on a slow-moving undersea adventure with Nemo and his friends. This omnimover ride system takes you through one of the largest aquariums in America with real sealife. The ride is perfect for guests of all ages, including young children. It's a great way to experience the wonders of the ocean and see some of your favorite Finding Nemo characters come to life.
Living with the Land boat ride in Epcot takes guests on a gentle cruise tour featuring an informative narration showcasing futuristic agricultural techniques, that actually work. The ride begins with a tour through greenhouses showcasing various agricultural environments, including rainforests and deserts. You'll see how Disney cultivates a variety of crops using hydroponics, aquaculture, and other innovative methods. t's a great ride for all ages and a relaxing experience.
Soarin' Around the World won't give you heart-pounding drops or wild movements. See, the whole idea behind Soarin’ it that it’s graceful and relaxing. This simulator ride takes you on a scenic adventure, almost as if you were hang gliding. You'll soar smoothly through the air, comfortably seated and enjoying the high-definition visuals on a giant dome screen. There are a couple of things to keep in mind though. The initial feeling of lifting high and gentle dips and dives might cause a slight thrill for some riders. But overall, Soarin' is a great choice usually getting high marks with older adults in particular.
Journey into Imagination with Figment has a cult following even though it’s one of the lowest rated attractions at Epcot. It’s all about using your imagination, not getting your adrenaline pumping. It's a gentle ride perfect for all ages. You'll be comfortably seated in a car that glides along a track, with no drops or sudden turns. The atmosphere is playful and whimsical, filled with bright colors and Figment's silly antics. There's even a touch of learning about the senses and imagination sprinkled in.
The Gran Fiesta Tour at Epcot is a gentle boat ride, perfect for a leisurely cruise through the sights and sounds of Mexico. Forget about drops or high speeds – you'll be, floating along as the vibrant scenes of Mexico unfold around you. The music is calming, and the atmosphere lighthearted, with the main focus being a fun story of finding Donald Duck alongside the Three Caballeros. So, if you're looking for a relaxing and scenic experience to soak up the Mexican spirit, set sail on the Gran Fiesta Tour!
Magic Kingdom
Calling the Jungle Cruise at Disney World a thrill ride would be like calling a nature documentary extreme sports. It's a humorous boat tour through a meticulously crafted jungle environment, perfect for adventurers of all ages. You'll set sail at a leisurely pace, enjoying the scenic landscapes and the witty commentary of your "skipper." Their hilarious puns will keep you entertained throughout the cruise. The excitement comes from spotting animatronic animals and witnessing first-hand, the backside of water. And remember to be a good audience for your skipper, the more you laugh, the more they get into it.
Pirates of the Caribbean is Disney’s most classic attraction and won't leave you white-knuckled like a roller coaster. It's a scenic boat ride taking you on a leisurely journey through the world of pirates. You'll float along at a relaxing pace, surrounded by animatronic pirates, fantastic music, and special effects. The ride weaves a story of pirate adventures, with some spooky elements that are more atmospheric than scary. There's even a small waterfall drop, but it's a mild surprise rather than a heart-pounding plunge. Pirates of the Caribbean is suitable for most ages, with no minimum height requirement.
The Liberty Belle Riverboat is a relaxing river cruise aboard a vintage paddle-wheeler. Set sail for a leisurely journey around the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island. The gentle pace allows you to soak in the beautiful scenery of Magic Kingdom Park from and from a unique perspective. You'll glide past Frontierland, Liberty Square, and other themed areas of the park. I encourage you to explore the boat while onboard and visit the different decks, bow and stern. Other than that, not much happens onboard the Liberty Belle Riverboat so it’s the perfect way to rest and recharge.
The Haunted Mansion isn't your typical scream-inducing haunted house. Instead, it's a delightfully spooky adventure for the whole family (with a few exceptions). You'll embark on a slow-moving journey through the creepy corridors of a haunted mansion aboard your very own "Doom Buggy." There won't be any drops or white-knuckled moments, but the ride vehicle does gently turn as it makes its way through the various rooms. This attraction houses some of the best special effects Disney has ever created including some ghostly gags to create a humerous atmosphere. Most people will find it playful with a spooky twist.
"it's a small world" is the happiest cruise that ever sailed. It’s as gentle and slow-moving as it gets and it’s especially loved by young children. You'll set sail on a leisurely cruise through a whimsical world, serenaded by the iconic (and possibly unforgettable) theme song. The boat glides slowly, revealing colorful scenes populated by animatronic dolls dressed in traditional costumes from around the globe. There are no drops or scary surprises, just a cheerful atmosphere celebrating unity and cultural diversity through a fun and lighthearted lens.
Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid is a slow moving dark ride perfect for families, especially those with little ones who adore The Little Mermaid. Instead of heart-pounding thrills, you'll be cruising comfortably in a clamshell-shaped ride vehicle. The journey unfolds through familiar scenes from the movie, with colorful lighting, charming music, and everyone's favorite underwater characters like Ariel, Sebastian, and Ursula coming to life with special effects.
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is a great family-friendly ride but don’t let the word “spin” throw you off. While it does have the capability to turn slowly, it doesn’t spin. The intent is not so much to spin, but to turn your ride vehicle in the direction of the targets you want to hit. You control the movement through the use of a joystick. You'll be aiming at targets with your very own laser gun. The real thrill comes from racking up points and becoming a top space ranger!
Buckle up for a journey through time, but hold on loosely – The Carousel of Progress is a more relaxing trip down memory lane than a ride. Instead of speeding through loops and dips, you'll be comfortably seated in a slowly rotating theater. The magic unfolds around you as the show uses animatronics and narration to tell the story of 20th century American innovation. The atmosphere is light and positive, focusing on the advancements in technology and lifestyle that have shaped our lives.
Soar through the skies above Neverland, but ditch the devlish thrills! Peter Pan's Flight is a whimsical dark ride perfect for flyers of all ages. Instead of stomach-dropping plunges, you'll be nestled comfortably in a pirate ship that glides along a track. There are no inversions or scary surprises, just heartwarming views and classic scenes from Peter Pan brought to life with special effects, lighting, and charming animatronics.
All aboard for a relaxing journey, not a heart-pounding experience! The Walt Disney World Railroad is a leisurely train ride around Magic Kingdom. Forget about speeding through loops – this charming train chugs along at a gentle pace, offering a laid-back tour of the park's diverse landscapes. Settle into a comfortable seat and soak in the scenery as you travel past different themed lands, spotting glimpses of your favorite attractions. It's a perfect way to take a rest and maybe even discover some hidden gems you wouldn't have otherwise seen.
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom is the epitome of a ride that everyone can do. It's the perfect antidote to a busy day in the park too, usually with a short wait. This continuously moving ride glides smoothly along an elevated track, offering a fantastic view of Tomorrowland and Magic Kingdom from above. You'll travel at a relaxed pace, soaking in the sights of the various attractions. It's a great way to rest your legs, get your bearings in Tomorrowland, and maybe even score some ride inspiration for later!
In a nutshell, even if you're not a fan of rides, there's no need to miss out on the wonder and joy that Disney World has to offer. With the right approach, ride haters can still have an absolutely amazing time at the theme parks.

New Signs Are Up At EPCOT Communicore, Mysterious Globe Appears
What is that globe in Epcot? Communicore Opening Date and more…
Today on my visit to EPCOT I noticed that some of the walls have been pushed back in World Celebration Gardens.
Disney has announced that the rest of EPCOT will officially open on June 10, 2024, including Mickey and Friends, Communicore Hall, and Communicore Plaza.
Also, a mysterious new globe appeared. Let’s check it out…
MIckey and Friends signs have been installed. The construction walls have been pushed back as well, making the sidewalk wider.
“Mickey and Friends” is where you can meet popular Disney characters in Epcot.
Communicore signs have been installed. Some of the walls here have been pushed back as well.
Disney has announced that Communicore Hall will be the starting point for Epcot’s international festivals like Food and Wine, Festival of the Arts, and Flower and Garden.
Communicore Plaza will be an outdoor area where guests relax. There will also be areas for large-scale concerts and small performances.
The canopy has been installed over Communicore Hall. I assume this will be where a lot of the concerts will be held.
Once the walls come down, you’ll be able to walk from one side of the park to the other easily.
Mickey and Friends is now lit up at night, giving us a better idea of how Communicore will tie in with the World Celebration Gardens and Spaceship Earth.
And this mystery contraption has appeared in World Celebration Gardens. It appears to be some kind of globe. Are those stools around the base? If you know what this is, leave a note in the comments below.

New Attraction Poster, Animatronic Critters Unveiled for Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World
New details released on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World has announced the new audio-animatronic characters that will be in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, opening this summer in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park.
Octavia the Bobcat, an adventurous bobcat kitten, loves climbing and hanging out in trees almost as much as she loves performing.
Pawpaw the Bobcat - Octavia’s devoted grandfather, lives to make Octavia smile and has the view that everything has a way of working itself out.
Claude the Louisiana Black Bear – plays his horn along with the other members of his family. He’s a tinkerer who loves to create with things found in the forest, and brings humor to the ride, especially when it comes to his home-grown creations.
Bernadette the Louisiana Black Bear – loves to enjoy life, from splashing in the waters of her bayou home with her cub, Sebastián, to playing the horn with her mate, Claude.
Sebastián the Louisiana Black Bear – Though he’s definitely a “mama’s cub,” Sebastián charted his own musical course as a drummer. He’s happy to follow his friend Octavia’s adventurous lead as they explore and play, and is fascinated with the small details in the bayou, like the insects and mushrooms.
Phina the Gray Fox – She’s constantly thinking of new ideas with optimism and energy! This imaginative fox is continually starting new projects with excitement, and her friends accept and celebrate her unique thinking.
Walt Disney World also released the official attraction poster for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Look closely and you notice the cast of characters mentioned above.

How to Use Disney's Dining Reservation Search Feature | Walt Disney World
New dining reservation features for Walt Disney World Resort
There’s a new feature that will help you when making dining reservations for Walt Disney World restaurants. You can now view availability for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all at once.
Prior to this change, you would have to start a new search if you wanted to check a different meal time.
How is this helpful? Let’s say you want to have dinner at Chef Mickey’s Character Restaurant at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, but you’re not seeing availability.
At this point, you’re open to going to breakfast.
On the old system, you would have to start your search over if you wanted to check breakfast availability.
Now, you can see all available meal times on one screen, without having to restart your search.
Here’s how to use the dining reservation feature:
First, it’s important to know that this feature only unlocks when you search for the restaurant by name. If you use the general “Check Dining Availability” link in the app, this will not work.
In the Disney World mobile app or website, you will need to search for the restaurant using the magnifying glass.
Click on the restaurant in the search results.
Enter the number of diners in your party
Select your date
You’ll now see all available reservations for that restaurant.
Dining reservations become available 60 days in advance, at 6 a.m. ET online.
Disney World has also announced that guests will soon be able to see restaurant availability for up to 10 days, all on a single search.
This will help guests who booked a Disney World vacation package because they have the added benefit of booking dining reservations for the length of their stay, up to 10 days.

Disney+ Subscribers Will Get a Disney World Deal Starting January 3, 2024.
Disney World dropped a hint that a new deal is coming for Disney+ subscribers.
The Walt Disney World Resort hinted that a new deal is coming just for Disney+ subscribers.
“Today, Disney+ shared that a special deal is coming to Walt Disney World just for Disney+ Subscribers beginning Jan. 3. We look forward [to] sharing more details in January.”
Disney+ offers for Disney World have become a regular thing. Offers we available for summer and fall of 2023.
Currently, there is a Disney+ subscriber offer available for Walt Disney World through December 25, 2023.
The first Disney+ offers are aimed at getting new subscribers but on the Disney World side, it’s a decent offer.
Yes, better than the standard offers available to the general public in the beginning. However, after the first week or so, the Disney+ subscriber offer seems to get scaled back and ends up being about the same as the broad discount offers. Or the offer becomes very limited.
This means you should book when the offer is released.
If you’re already booked with me, be sure to let me know you subscribe to Disney+ so I can check for a better rate.
I can also help you determine which is the better deal because there are a few to choose from. View them all here >
I’ll post all the offer details as soon as they become available on the offers page. Stay tuned.

Things to do at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
A unique vacation experience awaits at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
For too long I overlooked this resort opting for places like Pop Century, Port Orleans, and the Polynesian but Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is a classic Disney World vacation experience and I’m so glad I finally gave it a try. Actually, it’s one of the best Disney World vacations I’ve planned and I am not an outdoorsman or a camper.
Even if you’re a hotel buff like me, I say that’s all the more reason to try Fort Wilderness. I promise that you’ll have a uniquely Disney World experience here.
In this article, I’ll share some of my favorite things to do while at “Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.”
If you are like me and don’t have an RV it’s no problem, there are a number of places that rent them, even here in Orlando. A quick Google search will bring up quite a few. They can even deliver them to Fort Wilderness for you and set them up.
Or you can do what I did and book a Wilderness Cabin.
First of all, these cabins are very cozy inside but also spacious, and have the ability to accommodate up to 6 guests.
They have a living room, a kitchen with full-size appliances, a separate bedroom with a queen bed, and bunk beds.
But my favorite feature is the BBQ grill on the deck and the picnic table.
There’s something about being able to relax in your own vacation home right on Disney property, it’s absolutely wonderful.
Sure Disney’s hotels are wonderful, but you’re limited to 2 queen beds and maybe a balcony. But in a cabin, you have your piece of land to call home.
While the theme parks are a blast, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with taking a little time off and having a BBQ and maybe moseying over to the evening sing-a-long with Chip ‘n’ Dale. You’ll definitely want to plan an evening or two where you can just relax in the wilderness - the way Disney intended.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort isn’t about the parks. It’s about being on vacation. Theme parks can be secondary because there are so many fun things to do here.
Cost of Wilderness Cabins
Now the big question everybody asks is, “How much do the Fort Wilderness Cabins cost per night?”
Unfortunately, there is no easy answer. It has to do with things like the time of year or if you want a room and ticket package. Generally speaking, Wilderness Cabins range in price from about $450 - $650 per night.
One of the best-kept secrets here at Walt Disney World is the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. It’s part attraction and part working horse stable.
The name is a reference to an old Mickey Mouse Club spin-off called The Adventures of Spin and Marty where the boys camped at the Triple R Ranch.
You can stroll through the stables to visit Cinderella’s ponies and the working horses of Walt Disney World - there are about 90 in all.
Don’t miss the antique calliope, it was purchased by Walt Disney himself for the opening of Disneyland in the 1950s. There’s also a little museum dedicated to Walt Disney’s love of horses. There are some great memorabilia pieces and photos inside.
The Tri-Circle-D Ranch also offers horseback riding and pony rides for little ones. Horseback riding requires advance reservations and is actually located in a separate barn at Fort Wilderness located at the Outpost.
There are horse-drawn carriage and wagon rides offered at the resort. Advance reservations are recommended by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. These tours can be booked starting 60 days in advance. As your travel advisor, I’m also happy to make the reservation for you.
These horse-drawn rides take you on a tour through Ft Wilderness. This is a great way to see the Fort, especially during the fall when many of the campers set up elaborate Halloween and Christmas displays at their campsites.
During the Christmas season, there’s even a horse-drawn sleigh ride available - but since this is Florida, the sleigh is on wheels! So, just use your Disney imagination there.
Onsite General Stores
There are two general stores at the Fort: The Settlement Trading Post and The Meadow Trading Post.
Both offer select grocery items, mostly essentials like milk, eggs, bread, and other necessities that you might need to set up your vacation cabin.
If you’re a Disney nerd, you might consider Disney merchandise to be an essential part of your shopping list, and don’t worry, there’s plenty of that too.
I like they have a number of Ft. Wilderness logo gear as well. These items can’t be purchased anywhere else at Walt Disney World.
Now, if you’re wondering about how you can have a BBQ, at your cabin, the Meadow Trading Post and Settlement Trading Post carry charcoal, firewood, and even smores kits.
How to Rent a Golf Cart at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
I saved the best for last. The one that you must do at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is to rent a golf cart. Even if you have your own vehicle, I say ditch the family car and spring for a golf cart. You really can’t drive your car around the resort anyway because there isn’t any place to park other than your cabin or campsite.
Golf carts cost about $80 per night for a 24-hour rental period. I recommend reserving a golf cart in advance by calling 407-824-2742.
They do sell out. Now, if you forgot to make your reservation, you can join a waitlist at the check-in desk. You’ll receive a text if one has been made available for you.
As your travel advisor, I can arrange a golf cart rental for you as well.
You must have a driver’s license and be a guest at Ft Wilderness to rent a golf cart because it is billed to your campsite or cabin.
You’ll see golf carts everywhere at the Fort. I think driving around in our golf cart was the most fun we had during our entire stay.
We, meandered around each night just to enjoy the scenery and the fresh air. We even spotted some wildlife like deer and wild turkeys.
I recommend taking a drive around to explore the resort and check out some of the RVs - some are quite impressive.
But you can also drive it to the pool, the general stores, and even to the Magic Kingdom boat launch at the Settlement and the bus depot at the Outpost.
Transportation at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
Fort Wilderness has internal buses just like Port Orleans and Caribbean Beach. There are two main transportation hubs at Fort Wilderness: the Outpost and the Settlement. They are on polar opposite sides of the resort.
The Outpost is the main bus stop for the theme parks (except for Magic Kingdom). You’ll need to walk, drive your golf cart, or take the internal shuttle to the Outpost if you want to visit EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, or the water parks.
The Settlement is all the way in the back of the resort complex and it’s where you’ll find the restaurants, the Hoop Dee Doo dinner show, a general store, and a boat dock for Magic Kingdom transportation.
Magic Kingdom can be accessed by boat or you can take a bus from the Settlement depot.
Just make sure a Magic Kingdom bus is running, sometimes it isn’t which means you’ll need to take a boat or take a bus to the nearby Wilderness Lodge Resort and transfer there.
You can call the front desk for current transportation availability.
When going to Magic Kingdom, I recommend taking the boat. It’s a scenic ride that passes by Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The boat ride is about 10 -20 minutes depending on whether or not goes express.
Some boats will stop at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and/or Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Whether or not the boat runs express varies by time or day and even by season.
If the boat is making stops at other resorts, add about 8 minutes per stop to the time it takes to reach Magic Kingdom.
Other tips for Fort Wilderness Resort
Now of course this isn’t everything there is do to at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Easy Guide to Memory Maker and PhotoPass at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World photo packages explained
Walt Disney World offers a myriad of photo products to help capture your memories while on vacation. In this guide, I’ll explain the difference between Disney Memory Maker and PhotoPass plus share the different options that are available such as Capture Your Moment sessions and Magic Shots.
What is the difference between PhotoPass and Memory Maker? Great question!
PhotoPass refers to all photo and video-related products and services offered throughout Walt Disney World.
Memory Maker is the product you purchase that allows you to download your photos and videos.
Walt Disney World PhotoPass
You’ll find Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. At select attractions and iconic park locations, Disney’s professional photographers are on hand to capture your unforgettable vacation moments with one-of-a-kind photo opportunities.
Minutes later, your pictures are ready to view in your gallery—online or on the My Disney Experience app.
To enjoy the value and convenience of downloading all your vacation photos for one price, purchase Memory Maker.

How much is Memory Maker?
Currently, the advance purchase price is $185. You can purchase Memory Maker for $210 once you arrive at Walt Disney World.
If you would like to include Memory Maker as part of your vacation package, let me know so you can get the advance purchase price.
Memory Maker Tip: If you’re traveling with friends or family who have their own reservations, you can both share one Memory Maker account. Just link your Disney accounts together using the Family and Friends tool.
Memory Maker includes unique photos taken at iconic park locations (like in front of Cinderella Castle), Magic Shots and attraction photos.
Magic Shots – A Disney World PhotoPass Exclusive
Tiny World Magic Shots - Take photos to a new dimension with this 360-degree capture experience. You can find this right in front of Spaceship Earth at Epcot.

Disney World Memory Maker One Day
Memory Maker One Day is available for $69 in the My Disney Experience mobile app once you’ve linked at least one Disney PhotoPass photo to your account from the day to which you plan to apply the entitlement.
You’ll also find Memory Maker One Day at Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket windows and Disney PhotoPass Centers.
Trying to decide between Memory Maker and Memory Maker One Day?
Memory Maker is a good option if you’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort for three or more days. If you’ll be visiting for one or two days (or only attending a special event such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party), purchasing Memory Maker One Day for each day of your visit is the better option for you.
Memory Maker One Day costs $69 per day.
