These Magic Kingdom Attractions Will Close Forever in July 2025

Piston Peak National Park Builds on the Story of Frontierland

As summer approaches and work intensifies, significant changes are coming to the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Square Riverboat. These beloved attractions will be closed starting July 7 for enhancements and upgrades.

Meanwhile, Imagineers are diligently crafting an exciting new land beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad—this will be the first-ever area inspired by Disney Villains. This ambitious project will feature two major attractions, a variety of dining options, and unique shopping experiences, all designed on an exceptionally grand scale.

But that’s not all happening at the Magic Kingdom. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will reopen next year with new magic, promising to enhance the classic ride experience.

This summer, Disney Starlight will make its grand debut in the park on July 20, providing guests with a spectacular nighttime show that celebrates the magic of Disney.

Additionally, The Beak and Barrel is set to welcome pirates of all ages, offering themed dining experiences that will immerse families in the adventurous spirit of the high seas.

Stay tuned to Disney Travel News for more exciting updates and details as they unfold.
