Discontinued Pirate Rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

⚠️ UPDATE: These rooms are no longer available to book and have been remodeled.

Pirate themed rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort have an extra level of detail in an otherwise standard room at this Disney World Moderate hotel.

Pirate rooms are in the Trinidad section of the resort, one of the more remote locations of the hotel.

Trinidad is a great area if you’re looking for a quiet area and if you would like to be close to Disney Skyliner.

But you’ll have a 10 minute walk to dining and the feature pool.

If you prefer to be closer, you’ll want a Standard View or Preferred Room at Caribbean Beach.

The pirates ship beds have double size mattresses. Nearly all of the standard rooms at Caribbean Beach have 2 queen beds.

The carpeting has a pattern inspired by a treasure map. Pirate decor can be found throughout from lighting to furniture. You saw those pirate ship beds, right? How cool are those!

The Jolly Roger curtain divides the sleeping area from the vanity area. This curtain is a great way to create privacy if someone needs to get dressed.

Pirate theme rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach resort cost about $60 - $75 more per night than Standard View rooms.

The vanity area is spacious with plenty of room to store luggage, toiletries and clothing. Ample counter space there’s extra storage space under the sinks.

This is a great space where people can get dressed, and with the curtain closed, there’s plenty of privacy.

Most kids will love the extra details in a pirate room. Some might be afraid of the Jolly Roger, if that’s the case, just keep the curtain open.

As with all Moderate resorts at Walt Disney World, the bathrooms are tiny. They’re all the same, even at Port Orleans and Coronado Springs. There’s barely enough room to open the door without hitting the toilet. Fortunately, the vanity area is quite spacious.

Pirate rooms are about 340 square feet in all, the same size as most other rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

Is Trinidad all Pirate rooms? Yes! I Trinidad, you’ll find Pirate Standard View Pirate rooms and Pirate Water VIew rooms.

Standard View Pirate Rooms rooms overlook the parking area or a garden. Water View Pirate Rooms overlook the lake.

The view from your room isn’t really a big deal at this resort. There really are no bad views at all. If Standard View is available in Trinidad, I recommend going with that to save a little money.

There are hidden details throughout the room. Fans of Pirates of Caribbean will be delighted with some of the decor. Do you recognize the scene in the picture below? It’s a scene in Magic Kingdom’s Pirate’s of the Caribbean.

Fun face: this was actual concept art from Walt DIsney Imagineering when they were planning to add Captain Jack Sparrow to the ride.

An internal shuttle is offered if you prefer not to walk.

Pirate themed rooms are often included in discounts such as free Disney dining and seasonal room offers.

But when there are no offers available, these rooms are often more expensive.
